Lisianthus "The Texas Rose"

I started thinking I would talk about the fuller, delicate petaled blooms for this post and then decided I would just spend a bit more time showing off one of my favorite flowers: the lisianthus.

They come in many shades of purple, pink, white, and an ivory/buttercup color. The unopened blooms are equally as fun to use in arrangements as a hint of green, or unique accent bloom.

Lastly, lisianthus are available year round. I often tell brides who want peonies or rannuculas, two flowers that are not available all year, to consider lisianthus as it has some of the same, lovely qualities.
